The memory of a taste

No matter which culture we were born to, most of us have memories of food we had as a child. There is something magical about it that cannot be explained. For me a simple “macaroni and cheese” is not just a macaroni; it reminds me of my grandma’s house, the smell of summer grass from the garden, the little stories she told while she made the dish.

For you a simple “toasted eggy cheese” might remind you for the love of your father doing his best to nourish you after a teenage party. For someone a simple potato can be a source of confidence after they won the potato peeling competitions organized by student mates at college. Food is not just about feeding our stomach; the moment we take a bite, a picture is taken, it is saved in our memory, it becomes part of our story and that can explain why we are eager from time to time to have bite of the “good old days”.

Bob's Kitchen's mission is to fill this authentic British food void in the Hungarian market. We wish to offer British people living or visiting Hungary the authentic British flavours the have come to treasure, so next time you reminisce for a taste of home, why not give Bob's kitchen a call? The story starts with the launching of Bobs' Kitchen's English breakfast sausage, Cumberland "style" sausage, traditional back bacon and traditional smoked back bacon and will be followed by a range of pies and other British food that can be found at our restaurant.
